Just a small acupuncture clinic near the center of Salem, Oregon. My name is Kort G Schmidt, owner of Acupuncture Now LLC. Just a family man, I enjoy hanging out with my wife, son & daughter inside or in the outdoors. I love gardening, being in the middle of nowhere, reading various things & I probably like coffee too much... Since graduating from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2014, I have been practicing East Asian Medicine in a partnership here in Salem for 6 years. Though it was great, I decided to go out on my own to start a private practice. The scope of East Asian Medicine is broad, but my specialties mainly include internal medicine & musculoskeletal injury treatment. As with many in this medicine I will use pulse, tongue & observational diagnosis, but I also use abdominal palpation & reflex points, depending on what is going on. Additionally, I have been fortunate enough to learn therapies including Tuina orthopedic massage, cupping, gua-sha, heat therapies & Herbal medicine that can be used when appropriate.
